SMOTHERED PORK CHOPS a.k.a. FIRST POST FROM KENTUCKY!

Ta-da!  This is my first blog post from our new home in Kentucky.  Well, my first cooking post; I had a book review yesterday.  This is the first chance I've had to cook a real meal.  We're still climbing over boxes and the remodeling/renovation project will go on for quite awhile, but it was nice to get back into the kitchen.

Being back in a small town is nice.  It's kinda like being at Cheers, "where everybody knows your name".  Neighbors come over to welcome you with food (yippee!), and they can tell you the history of the town and even your house.

I'll be talking more about this new venture in our lives over the next few weeks.  Meanwhile, it's just good to be back online!

smothered pork chops

4 boneless pork chops
1 packet mushroom gravy mix
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 packet onion gravy mix
4 oz. water
2-8 oz. cans tomato sauce

Place pork chops in a glass baking dish.  Mix all other ingredients together.  Cover with aluminum foil and baking at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours in a preheated oven.

This was super easy.  With us still being busy tripping over boxes, I mixed it ahead of time, covered it and refrigerated it until I was ready to begin cooking dinner.  Just set it out a few minutes while the oven preheats.

These sound delicious! And I actually have chops in the freezer, as they were on sale last week. Thanks so much for sharing. Best wishes on your new venture :)
