2013 Spring Cleaning Giveaway Hop
As a member of the second annual "Spring Cleaning" Giveaway Hop, hosted by I Am a Reader, Not a Writer, I have gone through my stacks of books (seriously!) and I'm giving away three past review copies. All were good; I just don't have room to store all of my books. :(
1. The Limping Dog by J. R. Lindermuth.
Gavin Cutter, an artist living in an isolated village on the New England coast, witnesses the crash of a sailing ship onto a reef. The first aboard the wreck, he rescues a dog, the only living creature on the vessel. Ron Myers, wealthy owner of a growing computer firm, and the ship's crew have disappeared without a trace. When insurance investigator TJ Flood questions Cutter and others, he learns a sheriff's deputy denies knowledge of a woman who also witnessed the incident. Myers is alleged to have developed a radical new microprocessor system. Some assert the system was lost with its creator, others believe it exists and have devious plans to profit from the invention. Flood is attracted to Cutter's daughter, Dee. Together they investigate the ship incident and strange coincidences surrounding it. The result is threats, danger-and several murders. (Goodreads)
2. Lethal Legacy by Irene Hannon.
Bestselling suspense author Irene Hannon completes the Guardians of Justice series with her much-anticipated novel Lethal Legacy, releasing in August 2012. Hannon’s signature high-intensity action and taut suspense combined with her talent for writing tender, heartwarming romance will have readers on the edge of their seats. A two-time RITA award winner, Hannon completes the critically acclaimed series with a story of old grudges and a budding romance.
Kelly Warren is on a mission to prove her father’s death wasn’t suicide, but Detective Cole Taylor doesn't put much credence in her claim. Nothing in his case review suggests foul play until Kelly ends up in the emergency room with a suspicious life-threatening medical condition. The incident strikes him as more than just coincidence. Digging deeper, he discovers she's linked to a long-ago crime. Is history repeating itself? And who wants Kelly silenced?
The
DSM. The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. A
voluminous, invaluable tool used by psychotherapists the world over to
diagnose individuals with mental illness. Referenced by Samantha Clark
countless times throughout her career, never suspecting that one day it
would save her life.
Samantha
receives a seemingly innocent but anonymous letter, and overnight her
world changes forever. She becomes a victim in a frightening game of
cat-and-mouse, a nightmare that begins when her boyfriend, Todd, fails
to return to the wellness retreat they own in the woods of Florida.
Working closely with police, Samantha and two trusted friends discover
that Todd’s disappearance is linked to a series of murders occurring in a
nearby county. They soon find themselves prey to a mentally ill patient
from Samantha’s past, bent on revenge. With time bearing down, they
must weave together the clues found in a succession of ominous letters
and the DSM to save Todd. Their mission to unravel the mystery behind
the kidnapping plunges them into a terrifying maze of danger, deception,
and madness.
