Feature and Follow Friday - Books I did not like that others loved

Once again, I have found a blog meme that sounds like fun and decided to join in. This is a weekly blog meme hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read.  Let's see what you think, okay?

I found this at JC's Book Haven and I'm going to copy and paste the hop rules.  Here ya go:

1. Follow the Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosts and any one else you want to follow on the list
2. Follow our Featured Bloggers - This week's feature is: Gone Beserk and Readiciously Peachy
3. Put your Blog name & URL in the Linky thing.
4. Grab the button up there and place it in a post, this post is for people to find a place to say hi in your comments
5. Follow Follow Follow as many as you can
6. If someone comments and says they are following you, be a dear and follow back. Spread the Love...and the followers
7. If you want to show the link list, just follow the link below the entries and copy and paste it within your post!
8. If your new to the follow Friday hop, comment and let me know, so I can stop by and check out your blog!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This week's question is: What is a book you didn’t like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn’t popular?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OMGolly, this is sooo easy!  This is going to shock some of my more, shall we say, traditional, friends, but I read Fifty Shades of Grey.  It was Fifty Shades of Stupid.  If you liked it, I'm sorry; you're entitled to your opinion, but not for me.

I really can't think of one that I loved that wasn't popular, so I'll have to ignore the second half of the question for now.  If I think of one later, I'll come back to it.

What about you?  What book did you read that everyone said you just had to read, only to discover that you couldn't stand it?

Now, hop on over to the other blogs and find out what books they didn't like!  :)

I personally haven't read 50 Shades of Grey. Nor do I plan too. Glad to see another foodie! I blog about food too!

I haven't read 50 Shades of Grey. Not my kind of book, though.

New follower!

Yeah, I am not even attempting 50 Shades. I read some excerpts online, and realized there was no way I was signing up for that. XD It's not even the subject matter, it's the writing style, it's awful!

Thank you for all our comments. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't see the "literary merit" of 50 Shades. And yes, Heather, it was the writing style that really got to me.

I completely agree, the excerpts from Fifty Shades just looked a bit meh.
